A wake up call

As every day has its dew-fresh morning
Sleeping by the window, opening my eyes reluctantly,
Started gazing at the infinite sky,
while morning breeze trying to wake up my senses,
I saw a bird flying in the sky as if it is heading for unknown destination,
My negative mind feels pity for the loneliness of the bird,
But the bird is still moving without any sign of exhaustion,
It reminds me of nothingness of its journey,
Like man’s eventual destination,

Surprisingly, another bird joins it….
Both start playing the game of moving together
Neither of the birds is competitive or envious or trying to overtake each other,
Poised motion as if they have conspired with the moment,
Moving beyond space and time,
I felt the union of beings with consciousness of the universe,
A pure joy, bliss… an enlightenment…living with the moment,
For the first time, I felt I lived with the moment,
As the sun starts warming up the earth
The birds began to leave as if they have some duty to go for….
Waking up lazily, I questioned myself...

Why man always needs motivation or
A wake up call to do something?

satyam shivam sundaram-- om sai bhagavan.....

om sai....

truth only prevails.....
plant the seed of love to experience the happiness in this world
evolve your consciousness only through love and truth
be a seeker of truth to know that love is the end
never be afraid of death or anything....there is nothing to fear.... love is all
god loves man, man loves god.
truth and love are the fundamental and basic elements to be understood by every human being
great souls born on this earth to make us realize this purpose....
satya sai baba..... the great soul has loved us and made us know the importance of love and truth....
it's our love for the mankind and accepting truth under any circumstances is the only tribute to that we can afford to.....
let's proclaim.... truth only prevails...
love only produces....
it's nothing but 'satyam shivam sundaram"
to feel the bliss or shivam, you need to understand the truth and accept it, hence it will be manifested as indescribable beauty.... only to experience shivam....
om sai.... lead us kindly to love and truth.... om sai....

a poem on beauty and truth

The earth is beautiful and the sky is beautiful
The nature or prakruti is beautiful and the purusha is beautiful
The ecstasy of every moment is beautiful
The light is a truth and the darkness is also a truth
The existence is a truth and the death is also a truth
living every moment of life is a truth.....
hence beauty is truth and truth is beauty
the day we recognize beauty and truth
we are blessed to feel the shivam....
satyam shivam sundaram....

Eshwar alla tero naam...

Niether Lord Ram nor Alla favours violence, pray for peace and unity in the wake of judgement on disputed site in Ayodhya.

As mentioned in vedas, "vasudaika kutumbum", the whole world is a global village, in which every human being and all creatures in this world should be bonded with love and live by truth. This is what life is for.... but maintaining equilibrium in all aspects of life has become a herculean task for the postmodern man. Bharath is said to be karmabhumi, but gradually losing its sheen and respect in many aspects of her greatness; intolerance and insecurity are the order of the day...we have stopped upholding the greatest values handed down by vedas, on the other hand, we are restricting ourselves to biased, prejudiced and constructed world, where freedom is available at cost. we have lost so many lives due to our confined, fundamentalistic, chauanistic attitude, and still spreading intolerance in the younger generation. This is no doubt self-destructive attitude.. unless we grow out of all fears, prejudices, we cannot build a free and fair world for the coming generation..For god's sake, for our younger generation's sake, stop imparting biased, partial knowledge; instead teach them the greatest values of freedom. as freedom is what a creative expression of an individual... that is how the world should be built...

not this not this.. as mentioned in vedas....

always utter these words and grow your conscious levels by gaining knowledge which leads you to freedom from all prejudices...

whatever be the judgement...
  1. look at it from the objective point of view....
  2. don't let your emotions guide your mind..
  3. let your mind to analyse objectively...
  4. don't jump to conculsion...
the solution is not so far from your mind and heart... it's within you, you can convince your "self" otherwise the truth will teach you at some price.... satam shivam sundaram.... recognize and realise the beauty of truth..

Niether lord Ram nor Alla favours violence, pray for peace and unity.....

Can we expect new Narrative structures in indian cinema..

Whenever I watch an Indian film, I try to observe the narrative structure, of course I may not expect anything new.. but look for some change… but I failed to find anything new, though I find something new, still it might be copied from some European film, never original… hence, I feel like writing this article in which I expressed my views about the Indian audience and the filmmakers and their narrative structures in the films.. it's true that screen writers should try for original and innovative screen plays, and at the same time, the filmmakers must be ready to handle it in the same manner. forget about Hollywood or European movies, when you take India, it's very difficult to convince the producer as well as the audience together. they out rightly reject the film irrespective of its originality and novelty. the root cause is the belief system that cinema is meant to entertain and it should keep its promise every second of the movie, otherwise, the audience will move away from the theatre... that is how Indian audience are educated to watch the film. there is no space for realism or sensitivity in the emotions of the characters or in the story... they have developed what next attitude.... and they don't want "change", they need entertainment... whatever kind of experiment you do, keep entertainment in the mind, even at the cost of story, characters, doesn't matter if you can't explain the reason, nobody bothers if you can entertain, you can become a great filmmaker.. a successful filmmaker.. Wealthy filmmaker... and these successful filmmakers say " we don't want to make any award films, we want to entertain the audience, that's our duty" he never expresses his individuality but sacrifices for the money, for the audience, feels pseudo-happiness.. the actors take most of filmmaker's fame...

as far as the screen writers in india are concerned. they are subjected to certain rules and formulas, unless you follow the formula, you will never get another chance, even if you try one different from others and fail in the box office, that may be the last experiment for you... and one will never dare to experiment again, gradually switch on to safe mode... neither we can blame the audience, nor we can blame the filmmakers or the psyche of the Indian audience....we had better stop comparing our films to european or Hollywood films, our films are meant to entertain at all cost... it can be cheap or great, whatever it is .. one has to entertain..it's like a game, sometimes you win, sometimes you fail...hence, experimental or esoteric films can be done only with a small budget with non-professional actors, and they may not be released in theatres, but will be sent to foreign festivals, and may be awarded one or two, still the indian filmmaker won't get an opportunity to make mainstream film in India

it's really unfortunate to say... filmmakers like girish kasaravalli, adoorgopal Krishnan, and other ace filmmakers are not known to the public....but when you ask any of the successful mainstream filmmaker, they are as famous as stars... whatever it may be, even if one tries to use parallel narrative, he is subjected to the box-office rules... we know we can never change the audience, only thing filmmakers can do in India is to choose the realistic subjects that are identified by the common people, with all idiosyncrasies of the common man's tastes, but present with parallel narratives.. Hopefully, the common audience might identify themselves irrespective of the narrative structure...
my formula for a successful commercial film yet realistic is
Trying to maintain realism in the subject,
Trying to present the narration as fast as we can ,
Choosing the subject that is identified by the common man,
Trying new story telling methods, or narrative structures, only if we can still entertain them...
Never go for a message, just tell a story...
try to maintain realism in the filmmaking too...
Instead of what next attitude, try to sustain the interest with characters’ attitude, circumstances, external events, etc.

Anyway, let's try to create new wave in the Indian film by practicing the above.... vardhan..
